Copley is located in Summit County, west of the City of Akron, south of Bath Township and the City of Fairlawn, north of the City of Norton and east of Medina County. The 2010 Census estimated our population at 17,304. Most of Copley Township falls within the Copley-Fairlawn City School District. Small portions of the township are located in the Highland, Revere or Akron School districts. All of these schools are highly regarded for their competent learning environment. ANNUAL BRUSH COLLECTION PROGRAM - 2015
The Service Department will begin their annual brush collection for Copley Township residents as follows:
District 1: For all single-family homes located east of S. Cleve-Mass. Road, the brush pick-up week begins: September 8, 2015
District 2: For all single-family homes located west of S. Cleve-Mass. Road, the brush pick-up week begins: September 14, 2015
Brush is to be placed curbside by 7:00 am on the Monday in which your district is listed. Brush will be collected on your street ONE time only.
No return trips will be made.
Brush material consists of tree trimmings or bushes and DOES NOT include grass clippings, loose leaves, dirt or garden waste.
Please do the following:
* Place brush material, UNBUNDLED, on curb (please do not place brush in ditches or on roads).

SUMMIT COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Summit County Public Health will begin issuing Operation Permits to homeowners with Septic Systems on May 28, 2015. SCPH will mail Operation Permits to homeowners with septic systems that discharge treated effluent or that have been installed since 2007. Please visit their website at www.scph.org for more information on maintaining your home septic system. If you have questions, please email us at email@example.com.
Copley Police Association and Copley Fire Department "Pay It Forward" Program
The Copley Police Association and the Copley Fire Department have joined forces to bring a national slogan to our area "Pay it Forward". A specific charity has been selected for each remaining month in 2015 and items donated for that month will go directly to that charity. There will be a donation box set up at the police and fire departments where all the donations will be collected. At the end of the month, the items will be collected and transported to the charity that was selected for that month. Please see the list below:
