The Board of Trustees serves as both an executive and legislative body. In other words, the Trustees' responsibilities combine those assigned to both the mayor and the council in a city. The legislative authority of the Trustees is limited by Ohio law to something less than that of a City council. Such things as curfews, snow parking bans, etc., must be enacted by the Summit County Council.
