The Copley Police Department urges all residents to keep their doors locked during the evening hours and close and lock all windows on the first floor of their homes.  There have been some nighttime burglaries of homes in nearby communities in the recent week. In those incidents, the suspects entered homes through unlocked doors or by cutting the screens of windows left open for ventilation. The suspects entered homes while the homeowners were asleep.

There have been no such burglaries in Copley.  However, we have put extra patrols in our neighborhoods in the evening hours as a precaution.

As always, if you see or hear anything unusual  or suspicious in your neighborhood, do not hesitate to call the Copley Police immediately.  Our officers will respond immediately to keep these burglars outside Copley.  Together we can continue to keep Copley Township one of the safest communities in Summit County.
