Please be advised that the Summit County Engineer's Office is establishing a load limit on the Knox Blvd bridge. After load rating analyses were completed by the bridge consultant, it was determined that there is inadequate cover on this bridge. They will be performing a study to determine the most appropriate method for addressing this structural concern.
The new load limit will be 55% of the current allowable permitted loads. Legislation has been prepared and submitted to County Council for the September 19th meeting. Assuming first reading passage is approved, new load limit signs will be erected the week of the 19th.
