Summit County Council approved a new two-year deal Monday with Direct Energy Services LLC to supply natural gas for the county's aggregation program.
The fixed rate - running from February 2012 through January 2014 - is $5.565 per thousand cubic feet (mcf) for natural gas. The charge cannot exceed $6 mcf.
Senior citizens will receive a 10-cent discount per mcf.
