Copley Township is seeking bids for eight (8) window replacements and insulation at Copley Town Hall through an Energy Efficiency Grant from Summit County CDBG Program. Firefighters Grant Program $720,000 |
- Copley is the host agency for a Regional Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program grant of $800,000.
- $720,000 is from the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. An $80,000 match is being shared by Bath, Copley, Fairlawn and Norton.
- The funds will be used to upgrade the existing radio tower in Fairlawn to a functioning county-wide radio system site. This expands the Summit County-Akron Radio system and improves public-safety radio coverage on the west side of Summit County.
- The upgrade will also enhance interoperability between Summit and Medina Counties.
- The grant program is designed to assist fire department in protecting their firefighters. In addition, this will make our police officers and service workers safer as well.
