Support Your Copley Police
The Copley Police Department is a full service and professionally trained department. Under the direction of Chief Michael Mier, the department is located at 1280 Sunset Drive, just west of Copley Circle.
The department is staffed by 30 police officers. The Copley Police Department participates in several multi-jurisdictional law enforcement teams; the Summit County Drug Unit, the United States Marshal's Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Metro SWAT Team, and the SWSCOM Dispatch Center.
Copley Police Officers regularly patrol the community in marked police cruisers, undercover vehicles, bicycles, and on foot to provide its residents with the highest level of police service. Copley Township enjoys a low crime rate and in particular a very low violent crime rate.
The Copley Police Department hosts several community events each year, such as the Spring Bike Rodeo, Halloween in the Park, and Safety Town. We work with the Copley-Fairlawn Schools to provide DARE to all age-appropriate children.
The Copley Police Department has a variety of programs to help protect our residents. A crime prevention officer is available to assess your home or business to help identify potential security problems. The Senior Watch Program provides daily checks for senior citizens that live alone, do not have the means or capacity to leave their home, and do not have family or friends immediately available to check on their well-being. When you leave your home to take a vacation or business trips, our officers can check the exterior of your home periodically during your absence as part of our Vacation House Watch Program.
In case of an emergency, you can dial 9-1-1. Non-emergency calls should be made to 330-666-8866. The Administrative Office phone number is 330-666-4218 and is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We regularly work together with our citizens and business owners to keep Copley one of the safest communities in northeast Ohio in which to live and work. Feel free to call us. We would enjoy speaking with you.
