Redbud
This year in celebration of Arbor Day 2022, one of the trees that the Township will be giving away on Friday, 3-5 pm, April 29, is a Redbud.
Growing redbud trees is a great way to add brilliant color to your landscape. In fact, it’s one of the first trees to bloom each year and it blooms on old wood. Mauve-pink blossoms greet the spring with leaves that are heart-shaped with a long stem.
Along with planting a few much-needed shade trees at Copley Community Park, we will be offering a mulching project and fun activities. If you would like to volunteer for this day, please let us know. April 30, Saturday 11 am to 2 pm.
